Introduction

RELEVANT INDUSTRY PROFILE AND PROSPECTS
The School of Hospitality conducts various hospitality-related and service courses at the Higher Nitec and Nitec levels, to support the following key operational areas of:
• Culinary Arts
• Pastry and Baking
• Food & Beverage
• Hotel Operations
The outlook for Singapore’s tourism and hospitality sector has been extremely encouraging with the continuous growth of Asia and Singapore’s continued ability to attract foreign investments and high profile events like the Singapore Grand Prix and Youth Olympics. The launch of the two integrated resorts (IR) of Resorts World, Sentosa and Marina Bay Sands has also spurred the growth of the industry with the need for more service-related workers.
We envisage our graduates to be well-skilled in their respective areas of training and be immediately effective to the organizations they seek employment with. They would be the first choice employees of the hospitality industry, possessing the right attitudes and service excellence mind-set.
The School of Hospitality is committed in providing its students an authentic training environment, with the use of key industrial tools, equipments and service concepts for the students to:
• develop technical, social and methodological competencies relevant to industry demands; and
• foster a service excellence mindset in preparation for their careers.
